About the Recipe
This is one of my favorite and personal go-to sides. It's turned green beans into my favorite veggie, and probably a great way to get kids to eat them (though I understand using brown sugar may not be ideal for some). But it's definitely a tasty way to spice up your green beans. These sweet and savory green beans go great with salmon, steak, chicken, really anything. If you're in a pinch, you can throw this together quickly in a skillet using frozen cut green beans & pre-made bacon bits without needing the oven. And when you're feeling fancy, follow this recipe prepping fresh green beans and bacon. TIP: measure from the heart based on what you think seems best for you. Enjoy!

Ingredients
1 lb. fresh green beans
4-5 slices bacon (or bacon bits)Â
2 tbsp. Butter
1/2 tbsp. garlic (minced)
1/2 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup. Brown sugar
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper
Garlic powder
Preparation
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Prep green beans: rinse and cut off tips. Cut any extra-long beans in half.
Put green beans in a pot and add just enough water to cover them. Salt the water. Bring to a boil and let cook until tender. Drain.
While green beans boil, cook bacon (skillet, air fryer, etc.). Chop into bits.
Add tender green beans to a baking dish.
Add butter, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, garlic powder. Stir.Â
Bake for 5-10 minutes. Stir & add bacon bits.
Bake for 5-10 minutes until the green beans start to crisp and sauce bubbles.
Serve immediately.
